There's a thread about this on guild-hall.net.

Also other faces are matched.
Its quite common that games use real people for models... and in this case thats quite a fitting character to represent monk.

I want to see a character that looks like William Shatner, Sean Connery, OJ Simpson, Ike Turner, or Bill Clinton. Now that would be--I think--amusing.

Amen. Why on earth is a level 3 merchant trying to gank so much gold from me? Who does he think he is? And another thing, how come Merchants get bigger inventories than we do?

There's also a Milla Jovovich necro (maybe warrior?) face. Seems appropriate, she seems sort of like the "Time to kick your ass type."
There's a Orlando Bloom lookalike face for the mesmer as well. Also appropriate - Orlando Bloom seems like the "Lookit me I have fancy coat!" type to me =P

But then there's a David Beckham ranger lookalike
